ExCeLL semester begins February 2

Living Way Church begins its fifth semester as an ExCeLL distance learning site on Thursday, February 2. ExCeLL is the extension learning program of Texas Bible College in Lufkin, Texas, and offers an unprecedented opportunity for training and study of the Word conveniently in the local church. The twelve-course curriculum is equivalent to one full year of studies at Texas Bible College. Each semester consists of two courses; classes meet once a week on Thursday nights, beginning at 7:00 p.m. This semester’s courses are The Life and Times of Christ and The Pastoral Epistles. Thanksgiving Fellowship

Join us for our annual Living Way Church Thanksgiving Fellowship! Everyone is invited for a great time of food and fellowship. The dinner will be “potluck” style; you can participate by bringing one main dish – meat or such – and one vegetable or dessert. Help us enjoy a wonderful variety by signing the sheet at the hostess desk in the foyer. Contact Sis. Gaillyn if you have any questions. The food and fellowship begin at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, November 22.

LWC Fall Festival 2011

Join us for the Living Way Church Fall Festival 2011, from 10 AM to 6 PM on Saturday, November 5. Activities will include jump houses, game booths, hay rides, sack races, “bobbing” for apples, a concession stand, craft booths, door prizes, a bakery booth, a rummage booth, a pumpkin patch, and a chili cook-off. ExCeLL is the extension learning program of Texas Bible College in Lufkin, Texas, and offers an unprecedented opportunity for training and study of the Word conveniently in the local church. The twelve-course curriculum is equivalent to one full year of studies at Texas Bible College. Each semester consists of two courses; classes meet once a week on Thursday nights, beginning at 7:00 p.m. Terry Oglethorpe will be teaching Keys to Spiritual Success this semester, and Pastoral Assistant Craig McCracken will be teaching Gifts of the Spirit. 20th Pastoral and Church Anniversary

Living Way Church celebrates its 20th anniversary and the 20th pastoral anniversary of Randy and Dovey Ensey on September 15, 16, and 18, 2011. Guest speakers include:

Living Way Church began as a dream in the hearts of Randy and Dovey Ensey. The summer of 1991 was a leap of faith as they left a position on the staff of Texas Bible College and moved to the South Lake Conroe area to pioneer a church. Starting in the living room of their home in Walden, a lakeside development, they began reaching for souls. Many of their early converts received the Holy Ghost in their living room and were baptized in a horse trough on their back deck. Several moves and locations would follow in the first ten years. Store fronts, shared community churches and rented buildings would eventually lead to the purchase of the present building and property at 2080 Longmire. At present LWC is completing construction on a 6,000 sq. ft. expansion to their present facilities and has purchased ten adjoining acres for the new campus of the future! To God be the glory!

The Garage Youth Group of Living Way Church is gathering this Friday night for an exciting youth service. Teenagers – and others – from throughout Montgomery County will find their way to Living Way Church for a “way out” service that begins promptly at 7:37 p.m. Enjoy music and worship that are led by youth, be part of fun and fellowship with other youth, hear a message meant especially for today’s youth, and find out what it means for a young person to live life “way out”!
