J.R. and Janet Black (Puerto Rico, Aruba, Bonaire, and Curacao)
The Blacks began their missionary service in 1989 in the Bahamas and were appointed as missionaries to the Spanish Caribbean in 1995. Based in Puerto Rico, the Blacks oversee the Puerto Rican Bible school and are involved in church planting and evangelism throughout the Caribbean basin. In August 1999, the islands of Aruba, Bonaire, and Curacao were added to their area of responsibility. Visit the Blacks’ website.
Ken and Kay Burgess (El Salvador)
The Burgesses served nearly twenty years in Argentina since after their appointment in October, 1991. Beside teaching Bible school classes and seminars, they produced literature and raised funds to help establish thirteen radio stations throughout the country. They have recently been approved to begin work in El Salvador, where among other responsibilities they will direct the Bible school and work with the printing and distribution of literature and in radio evangelism. Phillip and Sandra Rhoads (Suriname)
The Rhoads’ call to missions first took them as associates in missions to the Leeward Islands in 1986. The following year they received their missionary appointment to the Netherlands Antilles. After serving a term in Curacao, they returned as associates in missions to the Netherlands Antilles in 1993, remaining there until 1996. They received appointment as United Pentecostal Church missionaries to Suriname in September 2000 and arrived in Suriname in January, 2003. Visit the Rhoads’ website.
